This year, in the Bobcats' fourth season, fans will be able to follow live action from anywhere through the Internet or their mobile device. GameChanger, a free Internet-based application designed specifically for baseball, allows the Bobcat faithful to keep up with the team pitch by pitch during the entire 2011 season.
Fans of GameChanger teams have full access to the team home page, which includes the roster, schedule and a snapshot of the last game and next game. In addition, the team home page displays real-time scores and inning progress for games being scored live by the GameChanger scorekeeper. As soon as the scorekeeper enters a play, perhaps a double to left field or a groundout to second, every detail of the play is instantly beamed to the GameStream and viewed by fans as a live box score, or play-by-play update online.
Once you become a fan of a team, that team's home page will become your default landing page on the GameChanger.io Web site, and live games appear in a dynamic GameStream scoreboard strip across the top of team pages. Fans on the move can keep up with the live GameStream via the mobile Web. The GameChanger mobile Web site lets fans follow live streaming play-by-play and box scores right from their phone.
And GameChanger not only instantly calculates standard box scores and season totals, but as soon as a team administrator in the press box finalizes a game, GameChanger instantly generates spray charts and player game logs.
Player logs include more than 50 full-season metrics broken down by individual games and totaled by game type. Links to pertinent box scores are also provided. Spray charts display a digital representation of all balls put in play by an individual hitter over the entire season. Spray charts can be filtered for hits, outs, fly balls, line drives and ground balls.
