Tradewater moved just one win from completing a two-year domination of the league Friday, beating Owensboro 4-3 in the first game of the KIT League Championship Series. The best-of-three set travels to Tradewater's home at Riverside Park on Saturday and concludes there Sunday, if necessary.
Tradewater has won the regular season title the last three years, and will look to take the postseason title for the second straight year when the series returns to Dawson Springs. Only Owensboro, who won the postseason title in 2008, stands in the way of a complete Pirate sweep of league titles in the last three years.
