Bobcats drop sixth consecutive game

A five-run seventh off Marion's Josh Reynolds gave Union City a come-from-behind win against the Bobcats Sunday in the Greyhounds first visit to Marion this season.

The loss was the Bobcats sixth consecutive.
Marion managed its only run in the fifth giving starter Jason Long a 1-0 lead. But Long was relieved in the sixth by Reynolds, who gave up five runs in the top of the seventh, though only two were earned.
Reynolds was given the loss. Jon Ivie earned the win for Union City, going seven innings and giving up the unearned run in the fifth when Daniel Pugh reached and advanced to home on three Greyhound errors.
Rob Dyer remained Marion's hottest hitter, going 2-for-4 on the night. Fred Rossi added Marion's only other hit.
